Call for Workshop & Strand Facilitators

Teaching for Transformation Conference:

Celebrating in God’s Story

March 3-5, 2027

Memphis, TN

Teaching for Transformation warmly invites TfT teachers and school leaders to propose and lead strands and workshops for our 2027 TfT Conference: Celebrating in God’s Story.

About the Conference

Our Deep Hope is to celebrate God’s Story and our place within it as we refine our craft, renew our commitment, and are formed together as a community of peculiar people.

  • We can refine our craftsmanship as designers of transformational learning.
  • We can renew our commitment to courageously embrace TfT practices.
  • We can be formed together by celebrating learning in God’s Story.

Through workshops and strands, participants will have opportunities to engage, reflect, and apply their learning. Facilitators are invited to design sessions that deepen practice through implementation, celebration, and real-world examples grounded in authentic contexts.

Opportunities

We are looking for facilitators for strands and workshops that bring the conference Deep Hope and learning targets to life. Our participants include school leaders, classroom teachers, instructional coaches, and other education professionals eager to deepen their TfT practice and grow as transformational educators.

Strands and workshops are not intended as introductions to TfT practices, but as opportunities to deepen and strengthen practice—inviting participants to learn from real examples, put ideas into action, and reflect on TfT practices with colleagues from across the network.

  • Strand—Two 75-minute sessions on Thursday. Participants commit to attending one full strand (both sessions) for deeper exploration and application.
  • Workshop—Single 75-minute sessions on Friday. Participants choose two different workshops to attend that day.

Facilitators will—

  • Design a strand or workshop that deepens TfT practices, aligns with the conference Deep Hope and Learning Targets, and includes a clear outline of activities and learning goals.
  • Incorporate feedback given on the proposal to refine and strengthen the session design.
  • Lead the strand/workshop, fostering engagement, collaboration, and celebration.
  • Provide the resources or materials participants need to fully engage in the learning experience.

Timeline & Honoraria

  • Proposal submissions: due June 15, 2026
  • Notifications: by August 1, 2026
